Invest Long Beach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to raise the profile of the city, foster civic engagement, and drive economic and workforce development through business growth and retention.
We were founded in 2019 in answer to the City’s Blueprint for Economic Development, which called for a public–private economic development corporation. We exist to deliver one ten-year vision: Long Beach as the city of opportunity for workers, investors and entrepreneurs.
We work directly with companies to understand what they need and help them succeed — site selection, incentive programmes, industry initiatives, talent pipeline development — and we convene the people in the room who can say yes.
They decide what we fund, what we research and who we convene.
True to our mission to promote Long Beach as a great place to live, work and invest, we focus on the city’s priority industry sectors — keeping the businesses that are here and winning the ones that are not.
The city’s marketing and promotion supports tourism, investment and economic growth while raising the quality of life for residents and communities — and puts Long Beach in front of the people who choose sites.
